ONE LEAN CARTON FILLING MACHINE

The N-200 carton filling machine from Pactiv Evergreen was designed based upon extensive input from school milk filler operators, the company’s service technicians, and its engineering team. The design features Allen Bradley servos, resulting in decreased maintenance, improved performance and reliability, and increased line efficiencies. Also, the company says the new machine features an enclosure that enables full sight of all machine functions for easier access to all components. The N-200 model has replaced the N-8 model, which is being retired after 25 years of production and serving as the standard in the milk industry, the company says.

EXTENDING SHELF LIFE OF MILK

Packaging of extended shelf-life milk or dairy alternatives must be managed under ultra-

clean conditions to maintain the target 30, 60, or 90 days, the Serac Group notes. For highly sensitive products, companies need to avoid contamination during the filling and capping processes. Thus, the company offers different decontamination types on the containers and caps. Its rinser-filler-capper is designed with close-loop clean-in-place, with a simple product circuit to ensure thorough cleaning of the machine. The company says Independent CIP Skid is also available.
