Prairie Farms milk snack bars, Cabot Creamery Cracker Cuts, and My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream were the top three vote-getters in Dairy Foods' 2017 Best New Dairy Products poll.

Dairy Foods’ editorial staff nominated 30 new dairy foods and beverages as 2017 Best New Dairy Products. Visitors to www.dairyfoods.com then were invited to vote for their favorite product. The top 10 Best New Dairy Products, based on the number of votes received, are listed here.

Receiving the most votes were refrigerated milk snack bars from Carlinville, Ill.-based Prairie Farms. The two-layer crème-filled chocolate cake bars are dipped in chocolate. Compared to conventional shelf-stable chocolate snack cakes, the bars have a short, simple ingredient list and do not contain artificial colors or preservatives, according to the company. They are available as a single-bar ($.99) and in four-count box ($2.89). Read more about these snack bars here.

Coming in second were Cabot Creamery's Cracker Cuts. The Waitsfield, Vt.-based company’s line of naturally aged cheese comes in pre-cut cracker-size portions. It’s packaged in a container that features a resealable lid to keep the cheese fresh over multiple snacking sessions. It’s sold in six varieties, including Seriously Sharp white cheddar and Vermont sharp cheddar. The cheese contains 8 grams of protein per four slices.

My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream, Los Angeles, took third place with its line of mochi ice cream novelties. The hand-held frozen treats feature ice cream wrapped in sweet, soft rice dough and come in seven flavors, including double chocolate, green tea, strawberry, mango and mint chocolate chip. They’re sold in a six-pack.

More than 3,000 votes were recorded during the voting period (Dec. 1, 2017, to Jan. 5, 2018).
