The frozen Greek yogurt is available in the New England states and parts of New York. Hood is manufacturing the product at its Suffield, Conn., frozen dairy plant.
Greek-style frozen yogurt is a product that emulates the properties associated with the success of cultured Greek yogurt. Those properties involve primarily protein and acidity (tartness) levels higher than those of conventional yogurt.
Dairy Enterprises Inc., Orrville, Ohio, has expanded its Ruggles line to include low-fat Greek frozen yogurt in six flavors — original tart, vanilla bean, peach, honey, blueberry and strawberry.
