Eagle Product Inspection "bulks up" its Bulk 415 Pro X-ray inspection system

To help processors of dry bulk products meet the latest standards from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA), and other global authorities, Eagle Product Inspection has enhanced its Bulk 415 PRO X-ray inspection system. The system delivers detection accuracy and compliance documentation, reducing the risk of costly recalls and keeping production lines audit ready, the company stated.
Dry bulk products, including grains, nuts, seeds, powders, cereals, and dry mixes, pose unique inspection challenges. Because these items are free-flowing and handled in large volumes, even a single fragment of glass or a small piece of metal can contaminate an entire batch, triggering extensive recalls. Multiple stages of processing further increase the chances of foreign material introduction.
The Bulk 415 PRO is designed to meet these challenges by accurately detecting contaminants in high-throughput applications. Its optimized conveyor design ensures consistent product flow and enables precise rejection of only the affected portion through a flap reject system, minimizing waste and maintaining line efficiency.
Recent upgrades to the Bulk 415 PRO strengthen both food safety and compliance readiness:
- Material Discrimination X-ray (MDX) Dual Energy – Differentiates between organic and inorganic materials for improved contaminant detection.
- SimulTask PRO Imaging Software – Delivers deeper contrast and detail for enhanced food safety and quality control.
- TraceServer Data Management – Provides centralized, auditable compliance records while identifying recurring process issues such as overfill or underfill.
These tools give processors a single truth source for compliance documentation, making audits faster and easier while supporting continuous quality assurance, the company said.
