Chobani launches Cereal Oatmilk to celebrate National Cereal Day

Limited-batch Cereal Oatmilk puts nostalgic twist on joy of childhood.

From Barbie and the NYSNC reunion to flared jeans and Y2K sneakers making a comeback, it’s clear that consumers crave content and products that deliver nostalgic comfort, according to the Norwich, N.Y.-based Chobani.

Jumping on the nostalgia trend, Chobani recently launched limited-batch Cereal Oatmilk ahead of National Cereal Day (March 7).

Naturally flavored to bring consumers back to their morning bowl of cereal before school, Chobani Cereal Oatmilk puts a nostalgic twist on everyone’s favorite dairy alternative, with a toasted, sweet graham flavor.  Add it to your coffee and overnight oats or put it into your cereal for an extra splash of flavor, the company says.

“Our fans love our classic oatmilks, but we do like to dabble in some fun with our limited batch, flavored oatmilks,” says Adam Croissant, vice president of Research + Development at Chobani, who notes that the R&D team in Twin Falls, Idaho, taste-tested nearly 20 different bowls of cereal with flavor notes from fruity and chocolatey to grain-based before narrowing it down to six potential varieties before landing on the perfect version. “We’re so excited to bring our brand fans back to one of the simple joys of childhood with this new flavor.”

Croissant points out that Chobani is constantly working to deliver products on a seasonal rotation to suit the tastes and multiple use cases of millennial and Gen Z consumers. Chobani Cereal Oatmilk is available for a limited time for a suggested retail price of $3.99 for a 32-ounce carton.
