Hiland Dairy, Silver Dollar City team up for summertime promotion

Hiland Dairy will be giving away a trip to Silver Dollar City.

Hiland Dairy said it is joining forces with amusement park Silver Dollar City again to bring a contest and a “fabulously fun time” to fans. The new contest follows last year’s enthusiastic response to the “Ride of Your Life” campaign, which brought in more than 220,000 entries.

This year’s contest promises even more prizes — including a family trip to Silver Dollar city — and encourages consumers to take part in a competition between two Silver Dollar City rides and two Hiland ice cream flavors, Springfield, Mo.-based Hiland Dairy said. Two of Hiland Dairy’s ice creams were named for Silver Dollar City’s exciting rides, the Outlaw Run and Time Traveler rollercoasters. Consumers are encouraged to taste the flavors, ride the rides and vote for their favorites at HilandDairy.com/Scream. Voters may share their preference on social media (#TeamTimeTraveler or #TeamOutlawRun).

“We were overwhelmed at the response to our consumer contest last year,” said Rick Beaman, vice president, Hiland Dairy. “We have a great partnership with Silver Dollar City and wanted to build on that collaboration by offering fans of our brand and the park another chance to win a family vacation.”
