The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) applauded the passage of the Ocean Shipping Reform Act (OSRA) by the U.S. House of Representatives.
Supply chain disruptions are currently a highly frustrating reality for industries across the globe. In fact, an October 2021 quarterly report from CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange relays that supply chains are arguably in the most dire condition since the beginning of the pandemic.
The act addresses provisions related to federal-aid highway, transit, highway safety, motor carrier, research, hazardous materials and rail programs of the Department of Transportation.

The Add Milk! pilot project, created in the 2018 USDA farm bill, is designed to research whether incentive programs for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) will increase the consumption of healthy fluid milk among SNAP recipients, according to The Baylor Collaborative on Hunger and Poverty (Baylor University).
Winners will be announced and recognized at Dairy Forum 2022 in Palm Desert, Calif.

The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) said it is seeking nominations for three awards presented annually to leaders in the dairy industry: the IDFA Laureate Award, the 2022 Innovative Dairy Farmer of the Year Award and the IDFA Food Safety Leadership Award.
IDFA said the move protects U.S. dairy exports and global infant nutrition supply chains.
