    Matt Lochmann, project manager at ORBIS Corp., joins Dairy Foods for Episode 57 of the “Let’s Talk Dairy” podcast to discuss the New Dynamics of Foodservice Distribution. With 13 years at ORBIS, Lochmann has a solid understanding of the needs of dairy processors when it comes to one of their most precious commodities: Milk.

    With headquarters in Wisconsin, Germany and Mexico, ORBIS has long been a steward of sustainability. Drawing upon more than 175 years of material handling expertise and 70 years of plastics innovations, ORBIS helps its world-class customers move their products faster, safer and more cost-effectively with reusable totes, pallets, containers, dunnage and racks.

    During this podcast, Lochmann explains foodservice distribution, specifically Bulk Milk Systems and the ability to load, transport, and deliver milk to retailers with one complete system. But there’s other benefits like saving space, the cost of labor, trucking and more.

    • The percentage of cost savings, space savings and transportation savings that the dairy processor can generate from using a Bulk Milk System.
    • The globalized supply chain and the impact of tariffs on ingredients and packaging materials that are imported and exported from all over the world.
