Green Valley Creamery, a brand of Sebastopol, Calif.-based Redwood Hill Farm & Creamery, said it created the first-ever lactose-free Greek yogurt to hit the U.S. market. The line includes single-serve 5.3-ounce cups in Reduced-Fat Plain, Vanilla Bean, Strawberry and Blueberry flavors and multi-serve 32-ounce cups in Plain and Vanilla Bean varieties. The yogurt is available at select retailers, including Safeway Denver, Fresh Thyme and New Seasons/New Leaf; it has a suggested retail price of $1.79 for a single-serve yogurt and $6.99 for a multi-serve yogurt. Made with simple ingredients and without the use of fillers, stabilizers or preservatives, the lactose-free Greek yogurt has up to 16 grams of protein per serving.
