Hiland Dairy adds to its flavored milk and lactose-free lineups
The four new seasonal flavors include Chocolate Marshmallow and Strawberry Crème.
Hiland Dairy Foods Co., Springfield, Mo., released four seasonal flavors of fluid milk for spring. The offerings are made with Hiland Dairy milk from local dairy farmers and come in Orange Crème, Strawberry Crème, Chocolate Marshmallow and Eggnog flavors. According to Hiland Dairy, the flavors can be enjoyed on their own or added to smoothies, homemade ice cream or coffee.
Hiland also added a new flavor to its lactose-free fluid milk line: Chocolate, which is available in half-gallon sizes.
“Flavored milk caters to consumers’ impulse for indulgence while providing the same nine essential vitamins and minerals as unflavored milk, so it’s a nutritional powerhouse,” said Rick Beaman, vice president at Hiland Dairy. “The lactose-free category is in demand from our consumers, so we wanted to provide a rich, chocolatey flavor that satisfies their craving for flavored milk [and] is lactose-free.”
The four seasonal flavors are now available in colorful quart packages in grocery stores and mass retailers for a suggested retail price of $3.49-$3.79. These flavors will be available through mid-April. The lactose-free addition has a suggested retail price of $3.99.
