    Stepan Lipid Nutrition brings Omega-3 ingredient to U.S.

    For more than a decade, Marinol Omega-3 Triglycerides has been an ingredient of choice for food developers in the European infant nutrition, food and dietary supplement industries. Following on that success, Stepan Lipid Nutrition, Maywood, N.J., a manufacturer of specialty lipids for food, nutrition and pharmaceutical products, made its United States debut in New York at Ingredient Marketplace at the beginning of June.

    Marinol is made via a gentle, proprietary natural concentration and purification process, resulting in an optimized combination of sensory, science and safety benefits for the essential omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA, which are naturally found in cold-water fish.

    According to Bailey, Marinol outperforms global industry monographs on a number of critical parameters, providing peace of mind to customers and consumers.

    The Marinol process also produces a clean tasting omega-3, which is commonly an issue for product developers and a primary purchase concern for consumers.
