Lipid Nutrition, a global leader in lipid-based health ingredients, has hired Candace Reed to its customer service team.

Focusing on the functional food and supplement market, Reed’s primary responsibility will be activities designed to enhance the level of customer service satisfaction focusing on the ability for Lipid Nutrition to exceed customer expectations further.

“Candace is an experienced and take charge person who really knows and understands the importance of customer service to both the functional food and dietary supplement industry,” said Marianne O’Shea, director of North America for Lipid Nutrition. “In internal analysis and reports, Lipid Nutrition surpasses our competitors on key customer service performance indicators and we are confident that Candace will further enhance our customer service and support. In addition Candace has a strong background in nutrition enabling her to be a key information provider to customers this is in addition to scientists in the R&D department of lipid nutrition.

Prior to joining Lipid Nutrition, Reed was a clinical nutritionist with Tarrant County Public Health Department, in Fort Worth, Texas. While there, she was responsible for nutritional education, interfacing with the public and managed specialized diets for infants and children. Reed also was a foodservice manager with Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

Reed earned a bachelor of science degree in nutrition and institutional administration with a minor in chemistry from Texas Woman’s University.
