Main Street Ingredients, La Crosse, Wis., said it has become an independent unit within Agropur’s Cheese and Ingredients Division. Reneck Cayen, vice president of ingredients and head of the newly created business unit, will oversee the manufacturing and sales of ingredients in both domestic and export markets. Mike Homewood, director of ingredient sales and Aaron Macha, vice president of nutrition sales, will continue to oversee their current business activities.

3M Food Safetysaid its Molecular Detection Assay Salmonella received an NF validation mark from AFNOR Certification. Coesia Groupfinalized the acquisition of Oystar North Americain December, following the agreement announced in October. Oystar North America has been renamed R.A Jones & Co. Henningsen Cold Storage, Hillsboro, Ore., received USDA Organic Certification after Oregon Tilth evaluated its Portland facilities. Both of the company’s Portland warehouses met the strict requirements set forth by USDA’s National Organic Program.
