Truly Grass Fed, a Dublin-based dairy brand of Glanbia Ireland, said it joined 1% for the Planet, and will donate 1% of its annual revenue to Slow Food USA, a nonprofit dedicated to transforming how people produce, consume and enjoy food.
According to the International Food Information Council, as many as 8% of Americans were on the ketogenic (keto) diet in 2020. Many use the diet for a short while to shed a few excess pounds, while others have adopted keto as a long-term lifestyle.
The company said donations will focus, in particular, on New York and New Jersey residents who are facing hunger as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Maple Hill Creamery, a Kinderhook, N.Y.-based producer of grass-fed organic dairy products, said it partnered with New York State's Department of Agriculture and Markets, on behalf of Governor Cuomo and nonprofit Feeding America, to distribute 200,000 cartons of its grass-fed organic milk and grass-fed yogurt to residents in need.
The federation calls attention to the importance of animal welfare in ingredient sourcing.
