Yoplait Simplait is General Mills' answer to Dannon's Pure yogurt

General Mills' Yoplait has developed a new, six-ingredient yogurt named Simplait. It will be available this month. Simplait follows the launch last month of a 100-calorie-per-serving Greek yogurt.
It's an $8,000 idea from a student team at Clemson University.

Three student team winners are honored at the American Dairy Science Association's annual meeting for their dairy beverage ideas in a new contest from the Dairy Research Institute.
PepsiCo Inc., and Theo Muller Group in Germany, announced their United States joint venture, Muller Quaker Dairy, will enter the growing U.S. dairy market with premium yogurt this summer.
