PMMI’s Jorge Izquierdo joins “Let’s Talk Dairy” podcast.

Jorge Izquierdo, vice president, market development, PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, joins Dairy Foods for Episode 66 of the “Let’s Talk Dairy” podcast. During the podcast, he discusses artificial intelligence (AI).
Izquierdo oversees PMMI’s market development plans, research and programs for strengthening the competitiveness of North American suppliers of packaging and processing technologies. He joined PMMI in 1993 as the director for Latin America, eventually moving from the Mexico City office to PMMI’s Herndon, Va., headquarters in the United States to serve as vice president of market development. In this position, he has responsibility for research in the United States and abroad. Izquierdo is also responsible for industry engagement initiatives for continuous improvement of processing and packaging operations.
Izquierdo is a mechanical engineer from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, earned an MBA from the Instituto Autonomo de Mexico and has participated in globalization programs at the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management.
During a recent report PMMI revealed in a news release (2026 Building an AI Advantage in Packaging Equipment | PMMI Reports), PMMI suggests five steps dairy processors can take to achieve a successful AI strategy.

- Consult AI experts and identify a suitable approach.
- Assess system readiness.
- Manage change and drive adoption.
- Foster collaboration across stakeholders.
