PACK EXPO just completed its 30th anniversary trade show in Las Vegas. We sit down with Laura Thompson, vice president, Trade Shows for PMMI, who reveals some interesting packaging trends..

PACK EXPO LAS Vegas will celebrate 30 years of its trade show with several new wrinkles. Show producer PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, has elevated PACK EXPO Las Vegas from a regional trade show to a global industry stalwart by expanding its scale, influence and relevance across international markets. 

The Membrane Technology Forum will take place June 2-4 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Bloomington, Minn.

PROVA was named Certified by Great Place To Work. The award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at a company. 

In collaboration with Kansas State University, undergraduate students are encouraged to enroll in their "Introduction to the Dairy Ingredient Industry" online course as a non-degree seeking student to earn three transferrable credit hours for the standard, 16-week course.

Cincinnati-based Graeter’s Ice Cream has served the Midwest since 1870. Dairy Foods visited the plant in April to check out its 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, opened in 2010. 

CheeseExpo, a biennial event hosted by Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and the Center for Dairy Research (CDR), returns from April 16 to 18 at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wis. 

With the exception of unexpected rainy and dreary weather in Arizona throughout, the International Dairy Foods Association’s (IDFA) Dairy Forum at the JW Marriott in Phoenix was an incredible event.
