    Blue Bunny reformulates signature products

Blue Bunny Soft Scoopables and Blue Bunny Mini Swirls are now formulated with colors and flavors from natural sources and no high-fructose corn syrup.

Established in 1935 in Le Mars, Iowa, Blue Bunny has been dedicated to making high quality treats for families all across America. Always starting with farm fresh milk, Blue Bunny prides itself on its partnerships with local farmers near and around its Le Mars hometown for generations.

“With over 90 years of expertise making frozen treats, Blue Bunny continues to evolve alongside today’s families,” said Andrew Mondzelewski, brand marketing senior director at Blue Bunny. “These reformulations represent the next phase of our portfolio strategy: updating trusted favorites while maintaining the taste, quality, and sense of fun that are a part of our heritage.”

    Reformulated products for 2026:

    •   Blue Bunny Soft: A new take on soft serve, straight from your freezer, and now made without high-fructose corn syrup and crafted with colors and flavors from natural sources — all while keeping its signature smooth and creamy, “soft at first scoop” texture.

    •   Blue Bunny Mini Swirls: The same frozen treats that offer big flavor in a convenient snack-sized cone—updates have been made to ensure all Mini Swirls flavors across the portfolio are made with colors and flavors only from natural sources and contain no high fructose corn syrup.

Looking ahead to 2027, Blue Bunny plans to build on the progress made with these reformulations and will continue evolving recipes across its portfolio while delivering the same great taste, recognizable quality, and everyday value families expect. This long-term commitment reflects Blue Bunny’s focus on meeting consumer preferences through continued quality improvements without compromising the joy and delight at the heart of every scoop

“This is about taking a thoughtful, long-term approach to our portfolio and continuing to refine our offerings to ensure we deliver on what our families expect, while staying grounded in the brand’s legacy of creating moments of family connection through quality products that, of course, promise that same great taste and bring people together,” said Mondzelewski.
