Frida announced its Breast Milk Ice Cream is about to officially launch.
The company teamed with OddFellows to develop a Breast Milk scoop that is freshly expressed and oddly familiar – sweet, salty, and smooth – with hints of honey and many of the nutrients included in breast milk (like colostrum), the company said.
The limited-edition flavor will be available at the Frida Pop Up at OddFellows New York City Dumbo location at 44 Water St. from Aug. 5 to Aug 10 (with free scoops Wednesday through Sunday from noon-1 p.m.). Pints will also be available for nationwide shipping at Frida.com.
The new Breast Milk Ice Cream is available just in time for National Breastfeeding Awareness Month and on the heels of its latest product innovation, the 2-in-1 Manual Breast Pump.
"To appease curious minds, Frida is bringing 'breast milk' to the masses with Frida Breast Milk Ice Cream. The ice cream will be a pitch perfect representation of the sweet, creamy, nutrient packed goodness we’ve all wanted to try but have been afraid to ask and will include some of its same nutrients including fats (Omega-3 brain fuel!), carbs (energy-boosting lactose), important vitamins (iron, calcium, Vitamin B and D, and zinc), plus lots of H2O for hydration," the company said in April.
