Brave Robot releases animal-free dairy ice cream

Brave Robot, a sustainable animal-free dairy ice cream with the same taste and texture of traditional dairy ice cream, provides a better-for-you option for consumers with sensitive stomachs, or who are taking steps towards better gut health, the company says.
Lactose-free and hormone-free, Brave Robot is available in such decadent flavors as Vanilla, Buttery Pecan, Vanilla 'N Cookies, PB 'N Fudge, White Chocolate Raspberry and Hazelnut Chocolate Chunk.
Headquartered in Berkley, Calif., Brave Robot is an animal-free dairy that is made with a milk protein (whey protein) that’s identical to the whey protein found in cow’s milk, but is made through a precise fermentation process that is similar to brewing beer with no animals involved, the company explains. And since it produces 97% less carbon emission than dairy ice cream, Brave Robot also is better for the environment, it adds.
Lactose-free Brave Robot frozen dairy desserts are available at Kroger and Ralphs for a suggested retail price of $5.99 for a 14-ounce pint.
