Move over, Cherry Garcia. Ben & Jerry’s celebrates spring with what could be the best cherry flavor yet: Cherry Crumble. The Limited Batch flavor features an irresistible combination of buttery ice cream with cherries and swirls of oat crumble.

Cherry Garcia, made with sweet Bing cherries and dark fudge flakes, has held the No. 1 spot on the list of Ben & Jerry’s fan favorites for 25 years and remains one of the company’s most popular flavors of all time, the company says.

Yet, the Burlington, Vt.-based company notes that reign may be in jeopardy now, thanks to the company’s “Flavor Gurus” who worked full time on the new innovation, which is inspired by juicy fresh fruit and the season of fruit crisps, cobblers and crumbles.

Once you pop open the lid on a pint of Cherry Crumble, monstrous cherry chunks are the first to spring forth. The bold, Bing cherries provide a snappy, sweet pop of fruity flavor that is dark and delicious, while the texture is brimming with the crunchy oat crumble swirl that provides an additional layer of texture and mouthfeel to complement the creamy base.

"We were inspired by spring, fresh fruit and the memory of taking a fresh cherry crumble out of the oven," says Flavor Guru Colleen Rossell, Cherry Crumble's creator. "With so many caramels, chocolates, and peanut butter flavors available — this is a refreshing choice with the right amount of sweetness, fruit, and rich indulgence. It's the perfect balance."

The Limited Batch Cherry Crumble is available in ice cream cases across the country for a suggested retail price of $5.49 for a 16-ounce pint.
