The Wisconsin Dairy Products Association (WDPA), sponsor of the annual World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest, said it is continuing an agreement with Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW) regarding contest entries.

Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis., is sponsoring a contest reimbursement program for all Wisconsin dairy processors. Wisconsin companies that enter a new cow’s milk dairy product in the 2021 World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest will receive from DFW a 50% reimbursement on the $60 contest entry fee, Middleton, Wis.-based WDPA said. (A “new dairy product” means a product that a company has not entered in a previous World Dairy Championship Dairy Product Contest.)

DFW is offering this incentive to boost Wisconsin participation. All dairy products eligible for the contest will be offered this reimbursement, WDPA said. Any product entered in this year’s contest that was entered into past World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contests will not be eligible for reimbursement.

Companies simply enter the contest as usual and save a copy of the entry forms that are eligible for reimbursement. They then should mail copies of the entry forms by Friday, Sept. 3 to Patrick Geoghegan, Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, 8418 Excelsior Drive, Madison, WI 53717. They may also fax them to 608-203-7374.
