Chobani debuts Chobani Pantry
The initiative is a new way to help food banks in the weeks and months ahead.
Chobani LLC, Norwich, N.Y., announced the launch of Chobani Pantry — a new way to help heroes at local food banks who will be providing critical support to families in the weeks and months ahead during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hamdi Ulukaya, Chobani’s founder and CEO, shared the news on Twitter and LinkedIn.
Under the Chobani Pantry program, Chobani said it will:
- Send a truck a day for the foreseeable future to food banks that desperately need supplies across the United States.
- Donate the power of Chobani’s digital brand — online advertising, website, social media and beyond — to Feeding America.
- Send vehicles to visit hospitals, food banks and other places where front-line workers need and deserve nutritious food across America, including New York City, Chicago, Atlanta and Detroit.
Chobani said the commitment builds on the 1,000,000 cups of yogurt (and counting) it has already donated to its communities over the past few weeks.
