In celebration of Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary, New York-based ice cream maker Ample Hills Creamery launched three special-edition flavors in collaboration with Disney. The flavors include Triple Chocolate Surprise (chocolate malted ice cream mixed with chocolate fudge birthday cake and swirled with ribbons of dark chocolate buttercream frosting and Mickey-shaped white chocolate pieces), Confetti Celebration (sweet cream ice cream with colorful confetti cake bites, ribbons of yellow buttercream frosting and yellow Mickey-shaped white chocolate candies filled with lemon cream) and Peanut Butter Jamboree (vanilla bean ice cream mixed with chunks of strawberry cake, swirls of peanut butter frosting and Mickey-shaped peanut butter pieces packed with house-made strawberry jam). The Mickey Mouse collection comes in square-shaped pints that feature comic strips of Mickey’s favorite birthday moments and include two compact built-in spoons. A half-cup serving of Confetti Celebration contains 230 calories, 14 grams of fat and 23 grams of sugar. The pints are available at Ample Hills store locations, select Whole Foods Market stores and specialty retailers across the Northeast.
