Ben & Jerry’s releases a new “Special Stash” flavor with Phish
The ice cream features a caramel malt ice cream with almond toffee pieces, fudge fish and a caramel swirl.
Burlington, Vt.-based Ben & Jerry’s partnered with the band Phish for a third flavor to celebrate the 21st anniversary of The WaterWheel foundation. “It's Ice… Cream” features a caramel malt ice cream with almond toffee pieces, fudge fish and a caramel swirl. The ice cream flavor is named after the 1991 Phish song "It's Ice."
The company said the flavor was one of the original flavor concepts in the running back in 1997, to become Phish Food. A portion of all proceeds from “It’s Ice...Cream” pints will benefit The WaterWheel Foundation, which was created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the band's various charitable activities.
To celebrate the release, Ben & Jerry's has created a one-of-a-kind pack featuring exclusive artwork by renowned Phish poster artist, Jim Pollock. The company will also be offering a merchandise gift pack available in limited quantities through store.benjerry.com, which includes a special poster design by Pollock. All proceeds of merchandise sales will directly benefit The WaterWheel Foundation.
“It's Ice… Cream” is a part of Ben & Jerry's limited line known as Special Stash, which can be purchased exclusively at Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops, store.benjerry.com and select retailers, nationwide. It retails for $6.99 per pint and is available while supplies last.
