Ampco Pumps introduces SHEAR-max high-shear mixer
The company said the mixer meets the tight tolerances required for high-shear applications.
Ampco Pumps Co., Glendale, Wis., manufacturer of sanitary pumps, mixers and blenders, introduced the latest addition to the mixing and blending line, the SHEAR-max. The SHEAR-max meets the tight tolerances required for high-shear applications while maintaining efficiency, the company said. The mixer is suitable for many applications, including food, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical processing. Designed for single pass or batch-style processing of liquids and semi-solids, this high-shear mixer is extremely effective at hydrating and dispersing powders, the company said. The innovative wedge-style rotor allows solids into the shear zone while efficiently employing motor horsepower.
