The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WMCA), organizers of the World Championship Cheese Contest, said it is seeking “B-Team” volunteers for the 2018 contest. The team will support contest judges as they evaluate more than 3,000 cheese, butter and yogurt entries March 6-8 in Madison, Wis.

“As our contest grows year after year, so too does our need for volunteer assistance,” said Kirsten Strohmenger Henning, WCMA’s events manager. “We’re grateful for the support of our hardworking ‘B-Team’ and hope you’ll consider joining the crew.”

WCMA said it is seeking volunteers for entry check-in at the WOW Logistics warehouse in Little Chute, Wis., on March 1 and March 2 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Volunteers are also needed during the judging portion of the contest at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison on March 6, March 7 and March 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Another corps of volunteers prepare the Cheese Champion reception, also at the Monona Terrace Convention Center, on March 8.

All volunteers will receive a complimentary light breakfast and a buffet lunch, as well as an official “B-Team Volunteer” hat in appreciation of their efforts, WCMA said.
