Shamrock Farms, Phoenix, introduced cold brew coffee and milk, combining 100% Colombian coffee with Shamrock Farms milk.

The coffee is available in original, mocha and vanilla flavors in ready-to-drink (RTD), on-the-go 12-ounce bottles. A serving size for the mocha flavor (one bottle) contains 160 calories, 4 grams of fat, 21 grams of sugar and 5 grams of protein.

The cold brew coffee and milk is now be available in grocery and convenience stores across the United States, including Publix, ShopRite, Stop & Shop and Giant. The coffee beverage was originally launched last fall in Arizona at retailer partners including QuikTrip, Albertsons, Safeway, Bashas’, Sprouts and major university campus stores. The suggested retail price is $3.49 per bottle.

“Refrigerated, ready-to-drink coffee is one of the fastest growing beverage categories,” said Ann Ocaña, chief marketing officer for Shamrock Foods Company.

Millennials in particular are driving the growth of cold brew coffee, enjoying the smoother, less acidic taste of cold brew to its iced coffee counterpart. Shamrock Farms creates its cold brew coffee and milk using Colombian coffee beans that are roasted, then ground and steeped in cold water for more than 10 hours to achieve a rich flavor, also providing two times the natural caffeine of regular coffee. Milk is then added along with a real cane sugar.
