Mettler Toledo food safety conference
More than 100 food manufacturers and processors, foodservice companies, retailers, auditors and others met in Chicago in June to learn more about the food safety regulatory environment and to share views on the state of food safety today.
Mettler Toledo’s Product Inspection, Industrial, Retail and Laboratory equipment groups sponsored the meeting, titled the 2012 Food Safety Exchange Conference. The Product Inspection Group consists of CI-Vision, Hi-Speed and Safeline.
The two-day conference featured presentations and panel discussions on food safety issues, including the Food Safety Modernization Act and the Global Food Safety Initiative.
Among the speakers and panel members were representatives from Bureau Veritas, Safe Quality Food Institute, International Featured Standards (IFS) and the British Retail Consortium.
