SPX showed its SafeWater technology for sustainable production of sanitiser and cleaning agent at Process Expo in Chicago in November. The clean-in-place (CIP) technology is said to be environmentally friendly, increases plant uptime resulting from shortened changeovers, enhances employee safety and reduces costs associated with expensive, formulated cleaning agents.

The Safewater generator utilises EAU’s Empowered Water Flat Plate Technology generating “ready to use fluids” which increases efficacy. The SPX SafeWater Generator also features EAU’s Empowered Water patent pending Independent Fluid Production (IFP) capabilities, which allow the system to produce large volumes of both Anolyte (sanitiser) or Catholyte (cleaning agent) independently, eliminating wastage of water that can occur with other electrolysed water systems.

The SPX Flow Technology segment designs, manufactures and installs highly engineered solutions used to process, blend, meter and transport fluids, in addition to solutions for air and gas filtration and dehydration. The segment supports global food and beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, energy, and industrial markets. SPX is a global Fortune 500 multi-industry manufacturing company, with headquarters in Charlotte, N.C.
