A recent survey reveals that U.S. adults prioritizing metabolic health are shifting their diets, focusing on healthier choices over aesthetics. With an emphasis on snacking smarter and the impact of GLP-1 medications, the dairy industry has a significant opportunity to meet evolving consumer needs.
The new design system reflects Walmart’s ongoing investment in its private brands and its commitment to evolving alongside customer preferences. For example, last fall Walmart announced its goal to remove synthetic dyes from its food private brands by January 2027.
This follows the company’s investment in its first milk processing facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana, as well as two case-ready beef facilities in Thomasville, Ga., and Olathe, Kan.
The products from the facility will serve more than 750 Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs in the Southeast.

Using ingredients sourced from local farmers, the new facility will process and bottle a variety of milk options including gallon, half gallon, whole, 2%, 1%, skim and 1% chocolate milk for Walmart’s Great Value and Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark brands.
