Although it's cold outside, ice cream brands like Snoop Dogg's Dr, Bombay and Wells Enterprise's Blue Bunny are red hot with triple-digit sales growth. 

 7-Eleven and Speedway stores in California will carry two of Dr. Bombay's most popular sherbet swirl flavors: Strawberry Cream Dream and Iced Out Orange Cream.

Strawberry Sunrise Sherbet, a pairing of lemonade and strawberry sherbet swirls, is among the flavors.

Under the ice cream/sherbet category, ice milk/frozen dairy desserts and sherbet/sorbet/ices are all posting solid growth in both dollars (10% growth) and units (3% gain), IRI data reports. Nestlé saw sales increase a whopping 1,632% to $25 million; Blue Bunny, generated 78% YoY growth to $29 million; and Friendly’s grew its sales to $10 mllion, with a 34% YoY gain.

Frozen novelty sales are particularly enjoying robust strength. 

In 2020, when many adults were working — and many children were learning — from home, sales of frozen dairy treats really took off at retail. 

Sales within the retail ice cream and frozen novelties segments have been traveling in two different directions of late.
