More than 260 dairy value chain leaders gathered April 28-30 in Chicago.

Dairy Farmers of America President and CEO Dennis Rodenbaugh will remain chair of the board of directors, which includes leadership from across the dairy value chain.

Rodenbaugh takes on the role from Leprino’s Mike Durkin, who served as the Innovation Center’s board chair since 2023. Rodenbaugh previously served as vice chairman of the Innovation Center’s board.

CheeseExpo, a biennial event hosted by Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) and the Center for Dairy Research (CDR), returns from April 16 to 18 at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wis.

The sourcing of ingredients for dairy products is becoming increasingly complex.

Durkin joined Leprino in 2011 and has been president and CEO since 2014. He most recently served as secretary of the Innovation Center board and previously chaired its Stewardship Commitment Taskforce.

The farmer-founded Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy, which unites the industry through a shared social responsibility platform, said it launched the awards to honor exceptional farms, businesses and partnerships for their socially responsible, economically viable and environmentally sound practices and technologies that have a broad and positive impact.
