This holiday season, Pepsi is giving milk and cookies — a favorite tradition to leave out for Santa — a surprising and naughty new twist with the introduction of Pilk and Cookies. The must-have drink combines the crispness of Pepsi with the subtly sweet and creamy taste of milk, traditionally topped with creamer, the Purchase, N.Y.-company says.

As part of this project, Kerry is also sharing expertise on dairy farming and processing with Burundian farmers, supporting them to improve their milk quality and quantity, and thus improve food security.

Despite a 3.3% decrease of unit sales, the milk category demonstrated strong strength, notching an increase of more than 7% to $15.32 billion for the 52 weeks ending Sept. 4, IRI data reports. Milk is king of the dairy category leader, followed by Cheese and Yogurt. 

The four cohort winners will each receive $50,000 in resources and funding to scale their products in California and will compete for an additional $100,000 in support based on continued performance.

The future looks bright however.

Serving those who most need it makes sense.

The decision to switch providers followed a decision from Minnesota Milk’s board of directors to focus the organization’s efforts more on state policy. Midwest Dairy will still be a valuable partner for the groups’ farmers in Minnesota.
