Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, New York, said it added Van Leeuwen bars, a line of indulgent dairy and vegan treats inspired by classic favorites.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has many consumers reaching for small indulgences to brighten their days. That reality has been a boon to the frozen novelties category, which Chicago-based market research firm IRI breaks into three subcategories: frozen novelties, ice cream/ice milk desserts and ice pop novelties.

Edy’s and Dreyer’s, brands of Oakland, Calif.-based Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream Inc., said they unveiled the Rocky Road Collection, which features six decadent flavors loaded with delicious and indulgent mix-ins.

Nestled along the Pacific coast in upper Oregon is the town of Tillamook. It’s the name given to not only the town itself, but also the surrounding bay, the county in which it’s located, the local high school and Tillamook County Creamery Association, a 112-year-old cooperative that calls the area home.

Greenville, Ill.-based Marcoot Jersey Creamery said it is launching a line of dog treats, Dog-O’s Cheesy Chompers, on Amazon.

Chicago-based Fairlife LLC said it added a line of lactose-free milk under its new Good Moo’d brand.

The ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee and tea segment is decidedly no longer a niche market within the United States. The segment racked up retail sales of almost $7 billion during the 52 weeks ending Aug. 9, 2020, according to data from Chicago-based market research firm IRI.

Schuman Cheese said it added portable single-serve pairings to its Cello brand.
