New museum exhibit is all about milk

Explore & More: The Ralph C. Wilson Children’s Museum in upstate New York unveiled its “Moo-ve The Milk” exhibit presented by UNC Dairy and Milk For Health, providing families a fun and interactive look into the world of dairy farming.
Children can race to see if they can milk a cow faster than an Automated Milking System and then crank a conveyor belt to put labels on the milk containers.
“This new exhibit is a wonderful addition and gives children and families a unique experience that they can only get at our museum,” said Explore & More President & CEO Michelle Urbanczyk. “We have had a marvelous partnership with UNC Dairy and Milk For Health over the years. We’re so proud to be able to work with them on this immersive exhibit that really brings the dairy farming process to life.”
“Milk For Health, which represents WNY dairy farmers, is thrilled to celebrate Explore & More’s new, hands-on exhibit which shows consumers of all ages how the milk and dairy products we all enjoy get from family farms like mine, to your home fridge or school cafeteria,” said dairy farmer and Milk For Health President Kendra Lamb. “Visitors will experience milking a cow, loading a truck, and bottling milk – technology and careers within the dairy industry that play key roles in providing nutritious and delicious milk to our communities. Whether it’s Whole Milk or Skim, dairy fuels our health and our economy, and our farms are proud to bring this immersive experience to Buffalo.”
"We are thrilled to help bring 'Moo-ve The Milk' to life – it’s such an engaging and creative way to show kids and their families how their favorite dairy products reach their homes. By following the journey from the cow to the breakfast table, you can see the care and modern technology that goes into every carton of milk,” said Kevin Ellis, CEO, UNC Dairy. “As a cooperative made up of more than 230 local member farmers, supporting our community is at the heart of what we do. Every time a visitor interacts with ‘Moo-ve The Milk’, they are celebrating the hard work of our local farm families."
