Heritage Kulfi has been selected to join KeHE elevate, a selective, high-touch program that provides innovative and emerging brands a platform for growth by connecting them with retailers nationwide.

Now part of the KeHE family, Heritage Kulfi aims to expand its distribution over the next two years from the Northeast and Midwest to all areas of the country.

A proud first-generation New Yorker with extensive experience in frozen food distribution, Mansoor Ahmed designed Heritage Kulfi to fill a gap in the mainstream food market by offering something unique to the premium ice cream market — classic South Asian flavors and the creaminess of traditional kulfi that connect with a broader audience.

"The intent was to use high-quality, authentic ingredients and methods when developing each flavor. Building on my own nostalgia for the South Asian food and desserts of my childhood in New York allowed me to confidently create something that I know others would equally enjoy," says Ahmed, founder and CEO of Heritage Kulfi. "I’m very excited to offer Heritage Kulfi to ice cream enthusiasts across the country."

“To be selected for KeHE elevate, brands must offer something new and unique from what we currently carry,” said Kelly Stockdale, senior category manager at KeHE. “With Heritage Kulfi’s unique flavors and beautiful packaging, along with a growing demand for travel through taste buds, I had a hunch that our market was ready for Kulfi. This was confirmed at our Next Generation Innovation Showcase where our sales team and retailer partners overwhelmingly voted for Heritage Kulfi as the winner.”

Ahmed founded Heritage Kulfi nearly two years ago in Princeton, N.J.
