Kimberlee J. (KJ) Burrington of the American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) and author of Dairy Foods' "Culturally Speaking" articles, was elected vice chairperson of the United States National Committee of the International Dairy Federation (US-IDF) at its recent board and annual meeting.  

In addition, Christopher Thompson, USDA, was elected treasurer of the organization. Both will serve in their roles for the next year. Burrington, who is vice president of technical development with ADPI, will oversee the US-IDF program of work while Thompson, International Standards Director with USDA, will monitor all finances of the organization.

 In other elections, the following were elected to the US-IDF Board:

  • Dr. Rob Byrne, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA)
  • Mr. Steve Holmes, Charm Sciences
  • Ms. Michelle Braun, Agropur
  • Ms. KJ Burrington, ADPI

The following were re-election to a three-year term on the US-IDF Board:

  • Mr. Joe Scimeca, International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA)
  • Ms. Kris Stoll, Schreiber Foods
  • Mr. Chris Thompson, USDA
  • Mr. Nick Gardner, U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) 

The United States National Committee of the International Dairy Federation (US-IDF) serves as a voice on behalf of the U.S. dairy industry for global dairy standards, policies and markets. US-IDF is the gateway to the IDF, serving as the National Committee within the United States.
