Healthy Roots debuts cold-pressed juice shots

Healthy Roots, Glendale, Wis., says it unveiled a new line of cold-pressed juice shots that “are a delicious and convenient way to get your daily intake of fruits and vegetables.”
The shots do not undergo heat processing and contain no added sugar, no added water and no preservatives. The functional cold-pressed juice shots undergo high-pressure processing, which ensures freshness, food safety and an extended shelf life of 120 days, the company explains.
Packed with functional ingredients for a quick and effective boost, the 2-ounce functional wellness shots are available in three varieties: Recover, which contains 80% cold-pressed juice and aronia berry, lime and filtered water; Ultra-Defense, which boasts 99% cold-pressed juice and ingredients that include orange, ginger, turmeric, lemon and black pepper extract; and Super Greens, a 100% cold-pressed juice powered by cucumber, celery, wheatgrass and lime.
Healthy Roots Wellness Shots are available for a suggested retail price of $3.50-$3.99 nationally at Fresh Thyme Farmers Market and at select Sendik’s Food Markets, Oberweis, Beans & Barley and Good Harvest Market stores.
