Pierre’s Ice Cream Co. announces the launch of its Cupcake ice cream flavor. The ice cream is dressed for any party, the Cleveland-based company says. Its creamy, indulgent recipe features Cake Batter ice cream swirled with blue frosting and candy confetti flakes.

Announcing this flavor is extra special, Pierre’s says, as the company is “lighting the candles” to mark its 90th year delighting ice cream lovers with its locally made premium ice creams. On shelf now at stores, the ice cream is packaged in Pierre’s familiar red 1.5-quart container.

The ice cream can be enjoyed atop a crispy cone or with a side of favorite shortbread cookies and a cup of fresh-brewed coffee, Pierre’s says. Or it can be covered with whipped cream and sprinkles or served with a slice of birthday cake. Consumers are encouraged to let their “cupcake imagination run wild and get the party started.”
