Pack Expo East to showcase the latest packaging machinery and more
The trade show also will offer educational sessions and hands-on activities
Learn about the very latest packaging machinery and equipment, materials, containers, automation technology and controls from approximately 400 exhibitors at Pack Expo East. The trade show will take place March 3-5, 2020, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
According to the show’s organizers — PMMI, The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, Reston, Va. — the 2020 event will feature 100,000 net square feet of exhibits, free educational offerings and “technology in action.”
Attendees will have access to 30-minute Innovation Stage seminars on industry breakthroughs and 45-minute interactive sessions in The Forum. Innovation Stage seminars will include hands-on activities, small group discussions and Q&A sessions each day of the show, PMMI noted. And during the interactive sessions in The Forum, attendees will learn about the latest breakthroughs, trends and best practices from expert supplier presenters.
On display for the dairy processing industry will be innovations for on-the-go convenience, single-serve options, squeezable pouches, shelf-life enhancing products and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to see dairy packaging and related equipment running live.
Pack Expo East also will explore packaging solutions and systems needed to support the growing omnichannel sector. The explosion of e-commerce in the last decade has caused consumer packaged goods companies to rethink day-to-day processes across their entire enterprise, according to a new PMMI white paper titled “Omnichannel Retail — Operating Harmoniously in an Integrated Digitally Enabled Supply Chain.”
Robotics teams from Philadelphia-area high schools also will bring in robots they have designed and built themselves and show them in action. Attendees may watch these fun demonstrations during show floor hours and feel free to ask questions, PMMI said.
