The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA), McLean, Va., held its fall board meeting on Nov. 15. In addition to its normal business, the FPSA board of directors and executive committee voted to expand with the addition of three new members. This expansion includes the addition of Matt Malott, president and CEO of Multivac Inc., as assistant treasurer to the FPSA executive committee, FPSA said, as well as Tom Hoffman of MEPACO Inc. and Patrick McGady of Handtmann Inc, who were elected chairman and vice chairman, respectively, of the newly formed FPSA Pet Food Council.

"Tom and Patrick's leadership will help take this already greatly engaged council to a higher level," said Jarrod McCarroll, chairman of the FPSA and president of Weber Inc. "The creation of the Pet Food Council this year has created an enormous amount of energy within the membership, and we look forward to the programs that it will develop in the near future.

"Expanding the executive committee also delivers a new dimension to this group," McCarroll continued. "This committee is responsible for developing the strategy of the association, and by adding one of the leading suppliers to the food and beverage industry, FPSA benefits greatly from Matt's experience, insights and market perspective. This will greatly enhance our deliberative process as we look forward to a busy show year and the development of new member programs."
