Humm Kombucha, Bend, Ore., added a 40-ounce glass bottle to its kombucha lineup. The size is available in five of the brand's most popular flavors: mango passionfruit, hopped grapefruit, blueberry mint, coconut lime and pomegranate lemonade. An 8-ounce serving of the coconut lime variety has 44 calories, 10 grams of sugar and no fat or protein. The product has a suggested retail price of $7.99-8.99 and is available at select retailers nationwide. Humm Kombucha also announced the development of a proprietary fermentation process that will make the first-ever verified non-alcoholic raw kombucha. This new process improves flavor consistency while maintaining a live, raw, non-alcoholic beverage that is well below the government standard of 0.5% alcohol by volume.
