Oakhurst introduces wild blueberry-flavored milk
The flavored whole milk, sold in pints and quarts, is available through October.
Oakhurst, Portland, Maine, released its new wild blueberry milk for the summer season. The flavored whole milk is sold in pints and quarts and available for limited time only – from May to October.
Oakhurst is sourcing its wild blueberries from Wyman’s of Maine to create the wild blueberry flavor. A 1-cup serving of blueberry milk contains 210 calories, 8 grams of fat, 25 grams of sugar (13 are added) and 8 grams of protein.
The wild blueberry milk is available throughout Northern New England in Hannaford, Market Basket and Walmart, and at independent grocery stores or at convenience stores, including Big Apple and Circle K. Prices may vary depending on location and retailer, the company said. The suggested retail price is $1.69 to $1.79 per 16-ounce bottle (pint) and $2.39 to $2.49 per 32-ounce (quart).
The new flavor joins Oakhurst’s super premium chocolate milk, which is the company’s number one selling flavored milk, and it leads flavored whole milk sales in both Maine and New Hampshire, the company said.
