The ice cream company is offering patented technology and equipment to other industries.
Dippin’ Dots, a Paducah, Ky.-based manufacturer of flash-frozen beaded ice cream, said it launched Dippin' Dots Cryogenics LLC. Leveraging Dippin’ Dots’ 30 years of experience and its intellectual property in cryogenic processes and machinery, Dippin' Dots Cryogenics will make the patented technology and equipment available to other cutting-edge industries in which cryogenics is applicable, including nutraceutical, pharmacy, agriculture, aquaculture and animal feed.
Working with Dippin' Dots' exclusive equipment manufacturer, the Dippin' Dots cryogenic team is able to customize machines based on individual company needs. Sizes run from small-scale pilot-plant size to high-capacity production of 2,000 kilograms per hour, the company said. Specifications such as control systems and steam cleaning will be tailored to each client. Manufactured in the United States, the equipment maximizes efficiency and touts a clean-in-place process, Dippin’ Dots said.
