Muuna disrupts the dairy aisle with new flavored cottage cheeses
Munna, New York, N.Y., aims to “reimagine” cottage cheese with a new line of flavored cottage cheeses. It's packaged in unique, bright, single-serve cups and available in six varieties: strawberry, blueberry, pineapple, peach, mango and low-fat plain.
The fruit-on-the-bottom flavors each have 130 calories, 2.5 grams of fat, 9-11 grams of sugar and 15 grams protein per 5.3-ounce container. The plain has 120 calories, 3 grams of fat, 4 grams sugar and 19 grams of protein per 5.3-ounce container.
All Muuna products contain no high fructose corn syrup or stevia and are free of artificial flavors, colors and sweeteners. The cottage cheese is also gluten-free and certified kosher.
The cottage cheese is available in 5.3-ounce cups for a suggested retail price of $1.69 and 16-ounce multiserve tubs for $3.49. It’s available at select Northeast retailers, including ShopRite and Shaw's.
