Learn about innovative solutions to reduce wastewater treatment in dairy plants at FPSA conference

Other sessions cover digital watermarking and content identification; and using digital information streams in packaging with the goal of encouraging consumer engagement.

    February 1, 2016

Press release submitted by The Food Processing Suppliers Association

McLean, VA - The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA) announced the slate of speakers for the dairy breakout sessions with a heavy focus on innovative technologies being used in the dairy industry at the 2016 FPSA Annual Conference taking place March 9-11 at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point in Bonita Springs, Florida.

The dairy track of sessions at the Annual Conference will include presentations from Kendall Yorn of Baswood who will discuss innovative solutions to reduce wastewater treatment in dairy plants; Mark Belfiglio of Digimarc who will provide attendees with the latest in digital watermarking and content identification; and Robert Berzins of Augmented Reality Inc, who will present digital information streams in packaging with the goal of encouraging consumer engagement.

"This is perhaps the most unique program the Dairy Council has ever put on," said Bill McPhail, Chairman of the FPSA Dairy Council and President & CEO of MAX Engineering. "For this year's program, the Council wanted us to focus on new technologies that dairy processors are seeing in the areas of processing, packaging and distribution. We feel that these speakers not only cover these topics but do so in ways that are sure to be impactful in the value that they create for the customer."

"This program is a great way for dairy industry suppliers to get up to date on the types of innovations their customers are looking for today," said David Seckman, FPSA President and CEO. "As we all know, with tight margins and a competitive marketplace dairy processors are looking for new ways to improve efficiencies and cut costs. The breakout sessions of the Dairy Council provide attendees with a great opportunity to identify new and innovative technologies to achieve this and perhaps assist dairy customers in need."

Registration for the 2016 FPSA Annual Conference is now open on-line at www.fpsa.org. The early-bird registration rate of $850 for FPSA members has been extended until February 4th. For more information on the FPSA Annual Conference, contact Dolores Alonso at (703) 663-1226 or dalonso@fpsa.org.
