The AOAC Research Institute approved a method extension of Performance Tested Method #100201 to include the latest DuPont BAX System X5 PCR Assay for Salmonella. This validation covers a wide variety of food types, including dairy and bakery products. The system provides next-day results for most sample types after a standard enrichment protocol and about 3.5 hours of automated processing.

Ampco Pumps Co. was granted a U.S. patent on the ZP3 Series positive displacement pump. The ZP3 design offers a frontloading seal and is fully CIP-able without modifications or loss of efficiency. This design allows the seal to be easily maintained or changed and the newly designed rotor case eliminates all dead zones. The series is EHEDG certified and in conformance with 3A Sanitary Standards and the ATEX directive.
