Simona Faroni, the president of G.S. Gelato & Desserts, was named by The Griffin Report as one of the Influential Women in the Food Industry. She was also recognized as one of the top female business owners by Enterprising Women.

Land O’Lakes, Arden Hills, Minn., hired Tim Scott as senior vice president and chief marketing officer. The veteran ad man has worked at McGarryBowen (where he was president, CEO International), DDB Worldwide, FCB and JWT.

The Dairy Council of California, Sacramento, named the following to its board of directors: Peggy Poole, vice president of R&D, Leprino Foods; Mark Webster, plant manager, Schreiber Foods; Veronica Rendon, director of field marketing, west region, Dean Foods; and Stephen D. Bill Post of Chandler, Minn., and Doug Carroll of Ryan, Iowa, were  elected to the Associated Milk Producers Inc. board of directors. Jacob and Sarah Enter of Nicollet, Minn., are the 2015 Young Cooperator chairpersons for the New Ulm, Minn.-based dairy cooperative. The YC program is open to AMPI members age 40 and younger.
