Mexico’s Grupo Lala reported that 2014 net sales increased by 4.3% to 45.0 billion pesos and consolidated net income for the year increased 10.4% to 3.1 billion pesos
In a statement, CEO Arquimedes Celis said "2014 was a year of macroeconomic volatility, with significant challenges for the consumer sector. However, the innovation and efficiency related strategies that we have in place have enabled us to remain profitable while maintaining LALA's leadership position in the industry."

Sales at Arla rose 7.5% in 2014
Arla posted its highest-ever revenue of 10.6 billion euro, a 7.5% increase. The dairy cooperative attributed much of the increase to organic growth of 6.7%. Profit was 0.3 billion euro. It said the strategic global brands – Arla, Lurpak and Castello – showed total volume growth of 2.1%.
“We saw 14% growth in our international business despite the Russian embargo. There has been steady growth in China, and we have created growth of 20% in the Middle East and Africa,” said CFO Frederik Lotz.

Growth at Kraft, Danone
As reported earlier, Kraft‘s 2014 revenues decreased 0.1% to $18.2 billion, with revenues in the Cheese segment up 3.6%. Danone’s 2014 revenues rose 4.7% and sales in its fresh dairy products division increased 1.5%.
